Rosenau – France
April 3, 2010

After coming back from Al Ain in UAE, I started preparing for my next race in Rosenau – France.
This race is the toughest race in Europe as it has more than 200 participants of whom over 77 are in my division. The good thing, though, is that all the best hand-cyclists of the world were present at this race.
The first race started at 11:00 am and the weather was so cold and rainy.
Lucky enough, when it was time for our race at 13:15, it stopped raining and I tried to take off at full speed to take over as many athletes as I can; however, I was left with more than 18 athletes in the group. The speed was very high and the competitions was very rough!
On my last round, 3 km before the finish line, all the athletes moved forward to the front and blocked me behind so I was unable to go through. A bit of patience until I found a way to do my final sprint. Hence, I finished 2nd behind the German Tobias Knecht and at the third place was the Italian Paulo Cecceto.
The world Champion Jean Mark Berset came 4th and I took him over, so now I am the leader of the EHC – European Handbike Circuit. You can check all the results and lots of pictures on www.handbike.fr
My next race will be Hamburg Marathon on the 25th of April.
